how to calculate percentile
* It is simple to calculate percentile
* first you have to determine your rank (R) from gate website http://gate.iitm.ac.in/gate2011/results.php
* determine no of candidates attempted for gate that year (N)
* now gate percentile P = (N-R)/N
E.g if suppose your rank 1,000 and no of candidates attempted are 1,00,000 then percentile is 99%
