The State Government’s goal is providing jobs for the unemployed youth under Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu scheme. AP State government aimed at providing 15 lakh employment opportunities for the youth by 2014-15. The government was keen on generating one lakh job opportunities by the year end. Workshops were being conducted at Vizag, Tirupati and Hyderabad. District level task forces were constituted to oversee the implementation of the scheme at various levels and review meetings would be held fortnightly. Those looking for jobs could register their names directly on the website ryk.cgg.gov.in, he informed. Training for youth in the trades that provide abundant employment opportunities for the youth in private sectors which were developed in districts. There was an estimated requirement of 80 lakh skilled workers by 2015 in the State. They were making use of the technical institutions such as polytechnics, engineering and vocational colleges for giving training.
RKY job mela on the Andhra University campus on October 29 and 30 under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu scheme of the A.P State Government 100 companies which required a total number of 10,000 personnel estimated to attending the job mela. Many companies would recruit eligible candidates. Qualification needed ranges from SSC, ITI certificate and polytechnic diploma to PG degree. Stalls of all the companies and organizations would be erected near the AU Convocation Hall. All details of the jobs being offered, qualifications and other requirements, the campus college where the interview would be held, etc. are placed on the website   www.aujobfair.com.
